Test Star Opens Up

Leicester's new cricket academy has been a hive of activity.
The project at Freeman's Comon was opened by former India Test opening batsman Shiv Sundar Das.

Das has also been helping out at coaching sessions with former Leicestershire all-rounder Laurie Potter, who is now captain of Market Harborough, and Syston all-rounder Anshuman Bhagawati, who launched the Academy.

Bhagawati said that during school holidays the Academy would offer all-day cricket camps with sessions on skills, fitness and match situations.

In term time, the Academy will offer after-school and evening sessions.
The Academy is available to anyone from the age of seven.
