What We Offer

Our very popular group sessions are run throughout the year over weekends.

All trainees are put in groups according to age and experience. Sessions include warm up, fielding, batting and bowling in nets and match situations. Every weekend there is a progressive session plan for the trainees to make sure there is development to their cricket .  All trainees are given individual attention and feedback by our coaches who are all E.C.B. (English Cricket Board) qualified. All coaches are C.R.B. checked.

Group Session Timetable Age Groups 5yr–16yr:

Fees: 2 hour session: £10 (when pre-booked and paid on a monthly basis)

Please note sessions not booked and paid in advance will be £15.

Prior bookings required for all sessions. All sessions to be booked and paid for monthly in advance as numbers are limited. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee a place for trainees who have not booked & paid in advance.

• New trainees can book one session initially.
   
• If there any sessions that you are unable to attend, please inform us when booking for the month and they will not be charged. These pre-booked sessions will remain at £10 per session.
   
• If you cannot attend a session there are provisions to attend another session in the same weekend.

• Sessions booked over the phone and not attended will still be charged on your next visit.

There are provisions for beginner’s age group 5-8yrs to attend the 1 hour session on Saturday.  Fee £5 (Times: 9am-10am, 11am-12pm and 3pm-4pm)
 

• Net hire £20 per lane/per hour ( 10% Discount available for block bookings)
• Individual Coaching (one to one bowling/batting) £27 per hour
• Bowling Machine including lane £23 per hour

The bowling machine can be hired to improve batting, playing a range of shots. It’s great for batting practice and will help your batting development.

Please contact us to discuss your club or individual net hire requirements. Coaches, equipment and bowling machine are available with net hire if required. Hall hire available for group training, indoor matches etc. Special off peak offers available.

Our one to one coaching sessions are for players of any age to work with one of our ECB accredited coaches to improve any area of the game to become a better cricketer. Coaches at times during these sessions use the bowling machine for batting and various other coaching tools for bowling and fielding. For young cricketers special emphasis is given on overall improvement which includes Batting, Bowling,Fielding and Wicket Keeping.

Noticeable improvement is guaranteed through these one to one sessions.

During all school holidays the Academy runs special school holiday camps where children can get expert cricket coaching, learn new skills, develop oveall fitness, make new friends and enjoy cricket.

Age group 5-8years 9-13years 14-16years.

For parents convenience drop off available from 8:00am and late pick up to 5.30pm. Speak to us for more details.

City Cricket Academy has been running Elite sessions for advanced trainees for the past 3 winters. These sessions are specifically targeted to develop cricketers all round game, which also includes mental strength, video anylasis and other elements required for the modern game.

Elite sessions are very popular amongst the trainees as they have seen major improvement in their game. 

Attendence to these session are by invitation only.
 

Our fun filled enjoyable cricket birthday parties are exciting and fast. We start our parties with a few warm up games and finally we play a big game where kids are in 2 teams.

Our new viewing gallery cum cafe is allocated exclusively for the family where food arrangements are done. There is a special gift for the birthday boy or girl. Feedback has been excellent from  kids & their parents who have held their parties here.

As Birthdays are special, we make our cricket birthday parties special. We can assure you a special & memorable day.

These are sessions when a specialist coach, former/current international or first class cricketer is invited to run sessions. These sessions are separate from our normal session and are usually open to all. Information regarding 2011 masterclases will available soon. 

The City Cricket Academy runs teams in every age group in the Leicestershire Youth League starting from Under 11 to Under 17’s. We also have strong links with local clubs and we often recommend players to go on and play in men’s cricket for various clubs.

This season the Academy will have 2 Under 11, 2 Under13, 2 Under 15 and 1 Under 17 teams playing in the Leicestershire Youth League.

City Cricket Academy Under 9’s League
The Academy also runs its own unique Under 9 hard ball league called the Mini Premier League (MPL). This is extremely popular and its played outdoors in the summer and indoors in the winter.
 

Matches helps each and every cricketer to gain invalauble match experience to become a very good cricketers. Apart from league matches CCA also organises outdoor matches in the summer. These matches have been fantastic developmental tool as there is so much to learn for the trainees from match situations.
 

 We have links with various Academies and institutions in the Test playing nations. Through these links we organise developmental cricket tours during the school holidays. It is important for cricketers to experience different conditions, environments and cultures in their progression as cricketers. We have successfully toured India and Dubai and more are to follow.

We also host inbound tours from reputable institutions. We organise the tour according to their requirments and take care of all their cricket and logistic requirments.

City Cricket Academy boasts a team of excellent coaches. All coaches at CCA are ECB accredited and CRB checked. Most of our senior coaches have been former professional/first class cricketers. Many of our coaches still play at a very high standard and many of our young coaches are aspiring to be professional cricketers.

All coaches work with a focus on expert coaching and developing new talent. Our coaches ensure that the players have a positive and enjoyable experience in every session.
