Summer Cricket Camp 2015

The City Cricket Academy Summer Camp is back and promises to be a fantastic opportunity with lots of exciting cricket. International students will be joining us and we also have some big names like Matthew Hoggard, Paul Nixon, Saqlain Mushtaq and Philip Defreitas as guest coaches. It’s going to be a great camp packed full of exciting cricket!

The summer camp will be spread over two venues; our city centre base at Freemens Common and Leicester Grammar School in Great Glen.

City Cricket Academy

At the Grammar School we have exclusive use of the fantastic outdoor cricket pitches, nets and sports pavilion. In the event of rain we will have use of the Sports Hall with indoor nets and bowling machine. This will be a great opportunity to play outdoor cricket, get active, play competitive matches, learn new skills and develop your cricket. As always our camps are an enjoyable way to spend your summer holidays improving your cricket for all ages and abilities. In addition our annual Test Matches will be played during the camp.

10am — 4pm. For parents’ convenience drop off available from 8am and late pick up to 5:15pm at no extra cost. Speak to a member of staff for details.
£22.50 per day or £100 for full week

Cricket kit (equipment available to borrow), clothing full whites or white top/CCA training top and tracksuit bottoms with indoor trainers, cap/sunhat, sunscreen, a healthy packed lunch and plenty to drink. There will be drinks and refreshments available to buy.
During our camps training includes: Fitness for cricket, fielding drills, skills sessions, one-to-one coaching, net practice, game situations and much more. Above all, enjoyment and development. Cricketers of all experiences are welcome including beginners. Our programme is conducted and supervised by English Cricket Board qualified coaches, current and former first class cricketers. All staff at City Cricket Academy are C.R.B checked.

Colour Clothing Tournament 2015

The Colour Clothing Tournament is back for its 9th year and will once again be held at Leicester Grammar School, Great Glen.

The tournament will be spread over two weeks as follows:

  • Week 1: Monday 10th to Friday 14th August Under 10s & 17s
  • Week 2: Monday 17th to Friday 21st August Under 12s & 14s

Free One to One coaching session when you book to play in both weeks

Players will be assigned into teams after registration and will be notified about their team one week before the tournament.

The Under 17s will play both Twenty20 and 40 over matches during the course of the week and there will be overseas teams participating. The Under 10s, 12s, 14s will play two Twenty20 matches per day.
£130 per player which includes:
  • CCA Shirt, Jumper, Trouser & Cap to all participants
  • 5 days of competitive cricket
  • Trophies and awards
  • Recognition for outstanding performances
9.30am to 4pm daily. Matches will start at 10am but all players need to arrive at 9:30am ready for warm up. Early drop off and late pickup available.
You will need to bring:
  • Your Colour Clothing (provided by us)
  • Cricket kit
  • Cricket spikes and trainers
  • A packed lunch and drinks
  • (Drinks and snacks will be available to buy)

Mini Premier League 2015

At Hinckley Town Cricket Club

Age group 6 – 10yrs

Our 6th Mini Premier League will start from 7th June 2014. The Mini Premier League is the only hard ball league for Under 10’s in Leicestershire, possibly in the country, and this is exclusive for CCA trainees only.

mini premier league 2015There will be 6 teams playing in the league, which will take place over two weekends Sunday 7th & 28th June. Matches will be played outdoors at Hinckley Town Cricket Club, Leicester Road, Hinckley, LE10 3DR which is CCA’s home ground. In the event of rain matches will be played at City Cricket Academy.

Every team will play 4 matches in total. Details of matches will be notified to you once we have finalised the fixtures and will also be available on our website.

All players will receive a MPL Coloured shirt, sweatshirt & cap. This is to be worn during matches with white trousers. There will be an awards ceremony on the final day where trophies and awards will be given for outstanding performances and participation.

Time: 2pm to 6pm (Matches start at 2pm so everyone needs to be at the ground for 1:30pm

Cost: £75 (includes coaching and match fee, MPL Coloured Shirt, Sweatshirt & Cap)
